Artist Bio
DE LA ROSE is a Congolese-born, US-based recording artist, producer, and visual storyteller. Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, he came of age in Fort Portal, Uganda — a formative period shaped by community, faith, and the power of music as a universal language.
His journey was recognized by UNHCR, whose award became a catalyst for his path forward. Sponsored by the Wendle Trust Uganda and educated at St. Leo's College Kyegobe, DE LA ROSE carried the spirit of East and Central Africa with him as he built a career spanning continents.
Now based in the United States, DE LA ROSE creates music that moves between Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Amapiano — sung in Swahili, French, English, and Lingala. His catalog of 13 original tracks, including WASHA, ROHO, NITA MUOA NANI?, and I LOVE YOU ft. Chid Benz (prod. Relax The Music), has reached listeners across Africa, Europe, and North America.
DE LA ROSE is also the founder of the DE LA ROSE Foundation, dedicated to empowering youth through music, education, and the arts — a direct extension of the values that shaped him.
